Lawyer graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (1998) and Master of Laws (LL.M. 2007) from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium). Expert in corporate law, business restructuring, competition law and intellectual property.
As Technical Secretary of the Bankruptcy Procedures Commission of Indecopi North Lima Headquarters, he was responsible for its implementation and launch. During his tenure, he was in charge of processing the insolvency declaration procedures and the Creditors’ Meetings, as well as the administrative management of said headquarters. Previously, he was Legal Coordinator of the Indecopi Economic Studies Management and advisor to the Special Group for legislative reform created by the aforementioned institution in 2008.
In the private sector, he has served as Legal Manager and Manager of Competition, Intellectual Property and Regulatory Affairs of Unión de Cervecerías Peruanas Backus y Johnston S.A.A.; as well as Manager of Commercial Legal Affairs of Telefónica del Perú S.A.A., companies in which he provided specialized legal advice and maintained permanent contact with the commercial areas.
He was an associate attorney for EY and the Rodrigo Elías y Medrano Law Firm, where he was in charge of providing advice on corporate, competition and regulatory law. Likewise, he participated in various due diligence of fishing companies, hydrocarbon marketers and financial entities.
Fellow of the Belgian Technical Cooperation and the Alban Program of the European Union, and assistant consultant to Dr. Alfredo Bullard in the Consultancy for the Diagnosis and Improvement of Quality Control Schemes for Standards, commissioned by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
Professor in the Master’s program in Business Law at the University of Lima and, previously, also in the Master’s and Undergraduate programs at the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences – UPC, Universidad del Pacífico and the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.
